What began as two neighboring apartments—and two separate lives—transformed into a single, light-filled home rooted in love and intention. The couple, newly engaged and blending families, came to us with a vision: to break down walls, literally and metaphorically, and create a space that reflected their next chapter. We united the units through rich materiality and layered craftsmanship: a fluted plaster fireplace anchors the living room; lilac marble is routed to read like a single slab; a glossy lacquer ceiling reflects natural light. Durable quartzite counters ground the kitchen in everyday beauty, while cobalt flashes and zellige tile add surprise in the baths. Every detail, from custom entry millwork to sculptural lighting by Giopato & Coombes, Sklo Studio, and Alex Allan, was chosen intentionally.
